Co-Founder Dr. Barnes Presents Clinical Trial Results at Gerontological Society of America

Together Senior Health Co-Founder and Chief Science Advisor Dr. Deborah Barnes presented the results of two of her research studies at the Gerontological Society of America meeting in Tampa, FL, from November 8-12.  

The Moving Together clinical trial found that the online program:

  • Significantly improved quality of life in participants with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias and 
  • Improved care partner ability to manage stress. 
  • Reported better balance, mobility and 30% fewer falls of the the study participants

Additionally, 94% of care partners and 75% of participants with cognitive impairment rated the program good or excellent.

The Brain Health Together pilot study found Participants with self-reported cognitive decline:

  •  Were able to successfully set and achieve goals to improve brain health by addressing modifiable risk factors. 
  • Reported more exercise, less social isolation, and longer sleep duration after (only!) 12 weeks.
